As an update on my earlier post it seems that President Obama's selection isn't being welcomed by the Republican Party.

I am looking forward to my mini-break. I hope the weather is good!!

A very wet start to the day. I purchased some car rental insurance for an upcoming trip.

I see that President Obama has nominated somebody for the Supreme Court but unfortunately I don't know enough about her to comment.

Another quiet day at work although I had to ask for the heating to be turned up. Was disturbed at one stage by a group of noisy youngsters.

It was disappointing to hear that North Korea had tested a nuclear bomb this morning. Hopefully this won't increase tensions across the world.

Went to the gym.

I noticed that Starbucks are selling plastic glasses that are double insulated to prevent your hands getting cold when drinking a chilled drink.It's a good idea but I didn't look at the price.

The nice weather seems to be here for a few more days.

Not a bad day.

Little bit of a hangover today but not too bad. Work was quiet, probably because it was sunny outside.

Encountered one of my pet hates this afternoon; people in coffee shops who order after me but then stand right at the front of the pick-up area. I was tempted to say something but decided against it.

A nice walk home.

Yesterday I visited "Canadian Tire" to purchase a folding chair. Completely ignored their "please place your rucksack in the locker" request but was not challenged.



Had too much to drink in the afternoon and got confused by the construction work downtown. Fell over on the bus.



Apart from the folding chair purchase this was a wasted day.
